Unfortunately the previous review is not true. The Deertrail Motel does not even charge $199/night!! There is no $25 clean up fee. Pets are welcome but not in the rooms. The shades are not broken. The lamps are working just like normal. There is no late checkout fee. So I think the above reviewer is mixed up with another motel. The motel has had many visitors and the rooms are kept clean and fresh smelling. If you have a complaint, talk to Kasha while you are at the motel.

2 Worst Motel Ever Stayed. Will never go back! August 1, 2010 at 3:30 pm

There was a sign on the wall of the room that said if we did not clean up after ourselves we would be charged an extra $25 after we paid $199.00 for our 2 rooms and got screwed. The women that owned the motel told us there are absolutely no refunds. She was nasty to us after we politely complained.

This place was a dump. Another sign on the wall told us to clean up the mess if our pets had an accident on the floor. We did not bring any pets.

The beds will not allow you to get a good night sleep because they are so worn out and uncomfortable. Not to mention the old, loud air conditioner that kept us awake and never shut off because it could not cool the two rooms we rented.

The lighting (in one of the rooms) was a lamp that required me to twist it in and out to turn it on and off. There was only one bulb in one of the light fixtures on the ceiling.

The shades on the window and sliding glass door were all broken and people could look in the door and window.

The smell of the room deodorizer gave me and my family a headache. After turning off the room deodorizer the smell of the room still made me sick. There was an old jean jacket in the closet that smelled so bad that I could not use the closet. It smelled of urine.

The remotes for the TVs did not work. The was not an alarm clock or a phone in the room.

My family and I started itching after being in the room for two hours. We were itching so bad that we got up, packed our bags, and left.

Do yourself and family a favor and do not ruin your family vacation by staying at this place.
